About me
My name is Dr. Donna Martyn. I am the principal at The Journey School (K-6) in Moreno Valley. I am in my fifth year as a an administrator. I was formally a K-5 teacher for 20 years, teaching predominantly 4th and 5th grade for the bulk of my career. I was a master teacher for teacher candidates, and I am an new teacher mentor (BTP; Beginning Teacher Program) for LACOE for over 7 years and . I also teach at LACOE both teacher education and credentialed courses. I have a passion for the education and forward thinking of our young minds. I also believe that students come with their own funds of knowledge, passions, and assets, and that educators assist them in bringing proving experiences and bringing out their purpose through rigor, relevancy, engagement, and CRP.
