Introduction to the Block & eKnowledge Framework
This session introduces eKnowledge Enhancement teachers to the purpose and structure of the block model at Real Journey Academies.
Objectives include understanding how the block schedule supports targeted instruction, exploring the core components of the eKnowledge framework, and learning how data talk protocols create a culture of goal-setting and reflection. Teachers will engage with key routines that reinforce eSkills such as analyzing text and data, writing, and providing feedback—while seeing how small-group structures and formative assessments support personalized learning.

We will cover a Safety Overview outlining the protocols for contacting emergency services (911), Safety Protocols, and procedures for administering first aid. Furthermore, it will provide insights into the roles and duties of the Human Resources (HR) department, highlighting the circumstances in which HR should be involved and the appropriate engagement procedures.
